SKYRAD
Sky Radiometers on Stand for Downwelling Radiation
Baseline Instrument
The sky radiation (SKYRAD) collection of radiometers provides continuous measurements of broadband shortwave (solar) and longwave (infrared) irradiances for downwelling components.
These 1-minute data are collected from a network of stations to help determine the total radiative energy exchange and ultraviolet exposure at any deployment site.
At SKYRAD sites, collocated upwelling shortwave and longwave irradiance measurements are also normally performed (see GNDRAD).
